What is a warranty? At its most basic, a warranty is a guarantee that a product or service will work as described. Should it fail to do so, the problem will be corrected at no charge to you. Yep, warranties are pretty awesome.
Only a company that truly believes in its products and services will offer a warranty. The longer that warranty is, the more you can count on it. At Sully-Jones we are proud to offer some of the longest warranties in the marketplace. Why? Because we 100% believe in our materials and workmanship.
Material Warranties
Material warranties come from the manufacturer. It is a promise that the material is free of defects and will perform as expected for a certain amount of time.
Due to the different types of materials and anticipated lifespans, each type of roofing material has its own warranty. Also, each manufacturer sets their own warranty based on the quality of the materials they use.
Some warranties are pro-rated. That means that you may not receive the entire replacement cost. An example – if the material cost $1000 and the warranty is for 10 years, on year 8 the replacement cost you receive might be only 20% of the warranty due to the pro-rating.
Here are some of the warranties Sully-Jones proudly offers to our clients:
Shingles. We prefer to use Owens Corning shingles due to their high quality and long warranty.
- Standard Limited Lifetime Warranty on shingles & components
- TRUPROtection – 10-50 years, depending on warranty obtained
- Materials Only – 10-50 years, depending on warranty obtained
- Blow-Off Coverage – 15 years
- StreakGuard Algae Resistance – 10 years
TPO. We prefer to work with Carlisle for TPO roofing. We find their product and warranties to be the best in the business. They warranty against accidental membrane puncture, hail up to 3” in diameter, up wind up to 120mph. That is confidence in a product!
There are multiple warranty options to choose from, should you prefer an upgrade. Terms vary up to 30 years, with no dollar limit on either material or labor.
FiberTite. Fibertite Kee is another membrane we are really proud to install for our clients. FiberTite does total manufacturing, from the fibers they use through the components recommended. As such, they justly stand behind that product.
Like Carlisle, they offer tiers of warranty protection, with the best offering up to 30 years of guaranteed protection, with no dollar limit on either materials or labor.
Labor Warranty
As important as using quality material for your roofing needs, you also need to consider the company installing that material. Do they stand behind their workmanship? Sully-Jones does.
A 5-10 year labor warranty is standard in the roofing industry. Sully-Jones Roofing offers labor warranties up to 15 years on both shingle and flat roofing. Sully-Jones Roofing has the longevity, knowledge, and experience to offer such long warranties. Our craftsmanship and installation techniques have proven the test of time and we stand behind our work.
